OUTPATIENT / DUAL DIAGNOSIS
This is a clinic-based service which serves the needs of individuals, couples and families. Services include: therapy, group therapy, psychological evaluations, substance abuse evaluations, uranalysis testing, psychiatric care and medication evaluation and management. We also have referral services to inpatient facilities and halfway houses. Further we provide 24 hour emergency services for our clients and consultation/educational services for both the community as a whole and for other Mid-Plains Center programs.
The Dual Diagnosis program is unique in the fact that it treats both the substance abuse and the mental health issues in a single trac. That is, the client sees one therapist for both issues instead of having separate therapists for each. The single trac provides greater consistency in therapy, reduces therapeutic confusion in the client, and increases the probability of treatment success since both substance abuse and mental health issues are often inseparably emmeshed.
