Children's Day Treatment is a half-day or full-day, intensive treatment program designed to improve the functioning of children and adolescents (K-8th grade) with severe emotional disturbance in their school and home environment.  Day Treatment seeks to prevent out-of-home placements by addressing behavioral issues at school, home, and in the community.  In the half-day program, up to 20 children and adolescents can attend Day Treatment in the morning or afternoon and attend their school for the other half of each school day.  The full-day program accomodates 5 children of middle school age.  The average length of stay is slightly less than 1 school semester.
